Player Contract
Hounds Baseball
2024-2025 Season Overview
HIGH SCHOOL - PITCHER ONLY
6-8 Tournaments throughout June and July
-
Typically one or two out of town tournament (possibly more)
-
As the majority of out-of-town tournaments are Stay-to-Play, it is expected that all teams will comply with this policy. Stay-to-Play is defined as a tournament in which any team traveling more than 75 miles (this distance varies from tournament to tournament) is required to secure lodging in an official hotel within their team’s group block in order to participate in the tournament. Non-compliance with this policy may result in a penalty fee being assessed to the Club.
-
Hounds Baseball Club’s Group Housing Coordinator will establish these group blocks for any out-of-town tournament that Hounds Teams participate in.
-
Every effort will be made to ensure that the hotel is of a high standard, close in proximity to the ballfields, and a reasonable nightly rate.
-
-
It is expected that all families participating in the tournament WILL book their rooms before the expiration of the group block in order to ensure compliance with any Tournament policies.
-
Any fees assessed to the Hounds due to a team’s non-compliance with Stay-to-Play policies will be the responsibility of the offending Team to pay.
-
It will be the decision of the team whether to split the penalty fees evenly among all families or only those in non-compliance.
-
-
While we understand that booking a hotel room on one’s own or using points can sometimes mean a lower nightly rate, there are many reasons to book with the group. These hotel blocks mean that the entire team can stay together facilitating group bonding and unity as well as ensuring that hotels are within a reasonable distance to the fields and that hotels will not be sold out leading up to the tournament. Hounds Baseball Club thanks you in advance for your cooperation with all Tournament Policies.
